Honda City, one of the most popular sedan cars in the Indian market, is about to get a new look. Let me tell you that the available Honda City is in its fourth generation round. And on November 25, the company will unveil its fifth-generation model in Thailand. In India too, the fifth generation Honda City has been seen many times during testing. It will come with a completely new design.

It is likely that the design of the new Honda City may be similar to the Civic and Accord. It will be larger than its current model. It will also get LED headlamps and taillamps. Talking about the interior, it will get a brand new dashboard and many more features than before. These include semi-digital instrument cluster, large touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof and connected car technology, etc. We suspect that a new Jazz-like cabin / dashboard can be given in the new city.

According to the same sources, Honda has upgraded the petrol engine of the currently available City sedan to BS6 Norms. Unofficial booking has also started at select showrooms in the country. In the new Honda City, this engine can be introduced with direct fuel injection technology for greater power and mileage. Apart from this, the company can launch this engine with a new 6-speed manual gearbox and CVT-automatic transmission. A new petrol-hybrid engine equipped with Honda's latest i-MMD (Intelligent Multi Mode Drive) technology can be given in the new city to be showcased in Thailand. This powertrain was also introduced by the company in the new-generation Honda Jazz. The company may not offer hybrid systems in the new city to be launched in India. However, it can be given in future. Apart from this, 1.5-liter diesel engine like Amazon can be offered by updating it to BS6 beads.
