In a recent turn, Honda Activa 5G scooter will soon have a limited edition variant joining the standard model. This new edition will feature two different dual-tone paint schemes at some premium over the existing Activa 5G scooter. We have also learned from our sources that select Honda two-wheeler dealerships have also started accepting bookings for the new Honda Activa 5G limited edition variant and the deliveries could start by the first week of June 2019.

It is to be noted that the new edition will likely offer customers two new dual-tone colour options--silver and black or pearl white and gold-- to choose from. Besides this, Activa 5G limited edition variant will also receive some graphics, like pin-stripe on the front apron and mudguard. These graphics will also make their way on to the side panels while even the wheels will have black rims. Besides these cosmetic changes, the variant will not involve any other changes, including to the powertrain, suspension, and features. On the braking front, the new variant will continue to use 130 mm drum brakes at the front and rear along with Honda's Combi Brake System (CBS).

However, it is worth  mention here that so, the Honda Activa 5G limited edition will probably continue to use the 109.19 cc engine from the regular Activa 5G. This engine makes 7.85 bhp, 9 Nm of torque and is mated to a V-matic automatic transmission.  Even the suspension setup on the Activa 5G limited edition will be carried forward from its sibling, which makes use of hydraulic type springs at the front and rear.

Talking about the features, the Honda Activa 5G dual-tone edition will get LED headlamp and position lamp and a semi-digital instrument panel (only on the DLX version), wherein the analogue counter displays the speed while the digital screen displays clock, odometer and service-due indicator.  As mentioned before, the limited edition variant will demand some premium over the existing Honda Activa 5G scooter, which, by-the-way, costs ₹54,632 for the STD variant and ₹56,497 for the DLX variant. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
