Huawei has launched its Honor 5A smartphone in China, yesterday June 12. The new Honor smartphone will go on sale starting Friday in China and will come in two versions - a standard version priced at CNY 699 (approximately Rs. 7,000) and another version priced at CNY 799 (approximately Rs. 8,000) supporting China Telecom and Unicom networks.

The Honor 5A features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 267ppi.

The dual-SIM smartphone supports Micro-SIM cards and comes with 4G LTE connectivity on both the SIM cards.

The Chinese company touts that the handset supports VoLTE (voice over LTE).

It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired 2GB of RAM and packs 16GB of storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.

The Honor 5A sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, CMOS sensor, and LED flash.

It also bears an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4P lens. Te smartphone supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity options.

The smartphone comes with a regular Micro-USB charging port. It measures 154.3x77.1x8.4mm and weighs 168 grams.

It packs a 3100mAh battery that is rated to deliver a talk time of up to 28 hours and a standby time of up to 28 hours.

The Honor 5A runs Emotion UI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
