Dubai: While inaugurating the Kerala pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 on Friday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said he expects enterprises and businesses in the UAE will be able to take advantage of the current business-friendly environment in Kerala to strengthen the collaboration.

"I surely hope that enterprises and businesses in the UAE may take advantage of Kerala's current business-friendly atmosphere to further our collaboration," Vijayan added.

"We have always strived to provide maximum support to investors, and we will continue to make concerted efforts to assist industry and the government of Kerala in bridging gaps and working together in the true spirit of collaboration and partnership, so that we can chart a new growth storey," he added.

He went on to say that Kerala has made significant investments in connection, communication networks, talent development, and infrastructure over the years, providing the state an inherent competitive advantage in the business.

On the industrial front, he noted, "the process of industrial licencing has been relocated to online platforms and made automatic and transparent through a number of legislations and norms."

"Through a number of initiatives, including the simplification of procedures and the enablement of digital engagement channels such as Kerala - Single Window Interface for Fast and Transparent Clearance (K-SWIFT), Kerala-Central Inspection System (K-CIS), the Government of Kerala is committed to improving the Ease of Doing Business in the State," he stated.
