Lucknow: A painful incident has come to light in Banda, UP. Due to the current in the field, the grandfather and granddaughter died on the spot. This incident is of Gugauli village in Banda district. On Thursday, 62-year-old Imamuddin's granddaughter got hit by a hanging wire while working in a field in Gugauli village. Imamuddin's 17-year-old granddaughter got scorched due to the current in that wire. Seeing the granddaughter electrocuted, grandfather rushed to save her, but he too got the electric shock.
According to the information received, both the grandfather and granddaughter got scorched and died on the spot. On this incident, Ramashray Singh, in-charge of the police station, told on Friday that along with Imamuddin, the girl came into contact with the electricity flowing in the wire hanging from the pillar.
Singh said that Imamuddin, who had gone to save hearing the granddaughter's scream, got scorched due to the current and both of them lost their lives on the spot. He said that in the presence of the Tehsildar, both the bodies have been sent for postmortem after the Panchnama and information of the incident has been given to the authorities.
