A woman hospital guard posted at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital was held for beating up a patient for not following the queue. According to a senior police official, one patient along with her daughter had come to the OPD.

Police officer said, "As it was a long queue, the patient tried to jump and when the lady guard objected to it, they entered into an argument".

Police added, "The lady guard slapped the patient and later another lady guard started beating her. However, the matter was resolved only after the intervention of other people present in the area".

The guard was arrested under section 323 (assault), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 34 (common intention) and was later released on bail.
