Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rains have wreaked havoc in Kerala at present. Pictures and videos of incidents ranging from rain to landslides are coming out which are shocking. Now, recently, a video of the same has also surfaced. In fact, heavy rain swept away a house in Mundkayam, Kottayam, on Sunday, causing a water stream to see in this video. The video of the house flowing clearly shows the havoc of heavy rains in the state.

Kerala has been receiving heavy rain since last Saturday and 24 people have died so far due to floods and landslides. The rain stopped till last Sunday afternoon but authorities have issued an alert over the threat of landslides. On the other hand, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in 11 districts for today. Amidst all this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered help to the state to deal with the situation.

"I pray for everyone's safety and their well-being," he said. In another tweet, he said, "It is sad that some people died due to heavy rains and landslides in Kerala. My condolences are with the bereaved families.'' Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the Centre will provide all possible assistance to the people of Kerala affected by heavy rains and floods. In a tweet, he said the government is "constantly monitoring the situation in parts of Kerala in view of heavy rains and floods.
