Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is trying to completely erase the terror marks of mafia Atiq Ahmed, which was once synonymous with fear. In Lukarganj, Prayagraj, houses for the poor have now been built on the same land which was occupied by mafia Atiq Ahmed by threatening. CM Yogi had decided to build flats for the poor on the land freed from Atiq's possession. Its foundation stone was laid by CM Yogi Adityanath in December 2021. The allotment of houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be done through a lottery on June 6.

According to media reports, the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) has prepared flats for the poor on the land vacated from the illegal possession of Atiq Ahmed in Lukarganj. Now the process of allotment of these flats will be started soon. There are 76 flats in the ready-to-move-in building. For which a total of 6071 people have applied. That means there are about 80 claimants for a flat. A lottery will be held on June 6 for the allotment of flats. At the same time, advertisements related to lottery will be released on Saturday (03 June 2023). The price of each flat has been fixed at Rs 6 lakh. Out of which 1.5 lakh will be provided by the central government and 1 lakh rupees by the state government. That is, those who will win the lottery will have to pay only three and a half lakh rupees to the PDA for the flat. In this, 45 thousand rupees will have to be paid at the time of allocation and the remaining 3 lakh rupees will have to be paid in installments for six months.

A security money of Rs 5000 was taken from all the applicants during registration. Those who do not win the lottery, their money will be refunded. Solar lights will be installed in the 4-storey building. Parking facilities will also be provided to the people living in the flat.
