New Delhi: People often get encroached on the vacant properties of the government. Due to which the government has to face a lot of difficulties. Especially when government officials reach to get rid of encroachment, then they are left with their sweat. The Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry has taken a major step to tackle this problem. The Ministry has decided to appoint a private security agency to protect the vacant government land, bungalows and flats from encroachment.

The Central Public Works Department, the major construction agency of the central government, has been given the responsibility to deploy private security guards. Ministry sources gave information about this. According to sources, the government has prepared to protect these places from encroachment. Also, complete guidelines have been set for this. According to the information, the total expenditure will be up to Rs 93 lakh. He told that the security agency has to get the Delhi Police verified by its guards before their deployment in the vacant government bungalows, land and flats.

The agency, which will be hired for a year, will deploy two guards on the vacant property twenty-four hours. In Delhi, there are thousands of vacant government properties where the occupants do not live. In their absence, there is a possibility of encroachment here. This decision has been taken to protect such properties from encroachment. If there is an encroachment despite the deployment of the guard, the agency will have to pay a thousand rupees per day until there is an unauthorized occupation of the land, bungalow or flat.
