Unnao: The death of both the girls in Baburaha village under Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district. The death of two minor Dalit girls and the third girl has been admitted at Regency Hospital in Kanpur. Police has held a young man and his teenage associate for allegedly poisoning three Dalit girls and killing two of them.  The boys tried to take revenge from one of the girls after she rebuffed the man’s advances. While disclosing the incident late Friday, IG Laxmi Singh said that both the accused have confessed to the crime. Both the accused are also from the scheduled caste.

After questioning the family, the police claimed to have reached the accused. Sapna, her cousin niece Reshma and cousin Karishma (all fictional names) of Baburaha village in the Asoha police station area were found unconscious in the fields on Wednesday evening. Sapna and Reshma were declared dead by doctors at CHC. Karishma is undergoing treatment in Kanpur. IG Laxmi Singh said that Vinay alias Lambu Karishma, a resident of Pathakpur village, came in contact during the lockdown. Vinay expressed his love for her. But Karishma refused and kept distance from him. This triggered hatred for Vinay Karisma, but he did not let Karishma realize this. With Vinay and Karishma's fields getting closer, he started visiting Karishma every day.

Six days ago Vinay planned the assassination. On Wednesday afternoon, Karishma went to the farm to take fodder along with her cousin Sapna and niece Reshma. Seeing Karishma go, Vinay filled the bottle with water and added the pesticide mixed in the crop to the water. After this Vinay ordered snacks from a minor friend of the village and reached the farm. He fed the snack to all three sitting on the ridge of the field. Seeing the water bottle, Karishma asked for water, on which Vinay handed the bottle to her. All three drank water one by one. After some time, seeing the three girls staggering, both escaped leaving the field nearby. The police on the basis of suspicion questioned Vinay and his partner after which they confessed the crime. According to IG Laxmi Singh, Vinay has told that he only wanted to kill Karishma. When Karishma regains consciousness, her statements will also be recorded.
