New Delhi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has announced the Agneepath scheme on June 14 to connect the youth with the army and modernize the armed forces. On the other hand, the Chief of Staff of Eastern Command, Lieutenant General KK Repswal has informed that under the Agneepath scheme, the recruitment of youth will start in the next three months. After this they will be given training for 10 weeks to 6 months. Thereafter, he would be sent to serve for four years. The youth will get a lot of benefit from this scheme and after getting the experience of the army, these Agniveers will be given a chance in the police and other forces. But due to lack of understanding of the scheme or being misled by some people, some youth have started opposing it. Now Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has tweeted about this scheme.

Mayawati has targeted the central government in her tweet. He has written that, 'After keeping the recruitment pending for a long time in the army, now the center has announced a new recruitment scheme 'Agniveer' with a short duration of 4 years in the army, despite calling it attractive and beneficial, the youth of the country are dissatisfied and angry. Is. They are openly opposing changing the army recruitment system. Further, Mayawati has written that, 'their (youth) believe that only to eliminate pension benefits etc. in army and government jobs, along with reducing the number of recruits in the army, the government limited it to only four years. Which is grossly unfair and openly playing with the future of poor and rural youth and their families.

In her next tweet, Mayawati wrote that, 'People in the country are already sad and troubled by rising poverty, inflation, unemployment and wrong policies and arrogant working style of the government etc. causing disappointment. The government should immediately reconsider its decision, this demand of BSP.

What will the youth get in Agneepath Yojana :-

Let us inform that, under this scheme, about 45 thousand youth will be recruited in the army every year. Agniveers will be given 30 thousand to 40 thousand per month salary and other benefits. During this, Agniveer will get awards, medals and insurance cover like the permanent soldiers of the three services. An insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh will be available. If martyr or disabled during service, then their family will be given a compensation of up to Rs 44 lakh. After the completion of four years, 25 percent will get an opportunity to serve in the army for another 15 years. Agniveers who will be out after four years will be given a one-time lump-sum of around Rs 12 lakh tax-free under the service fund package. At the same time, after the completion of 4 years, the governments of UP, MP, Assam and Haryana have announced to give priority to these firefighters in the recruitment of state police. But the youth is creating a ruckus on the streets under misunderstanding or delusion, if there is a legitimate demand, then it can be resolved by discussing with the administration.
