RAMALLAH: According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, at least 130 Palestinian protesters were injured in recent clashes with Israeli soldiers in several West Bank (WB) villages.

Three people were killed by live ammunition, nine by rubber bullets, and the rest were injured by tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers, according to news reports.

According to eyewitnesses, fierce clashes erupted between anti-settlement protesters and Israeli soldiers in the villages of Beita and Beit Dajan, south and east of Nablus city, respectively, and in the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qaqilya city.

They added that the protesters burned tyres and threw stones at Israeli soldiers stationed on the villages' perimeters.
According to Murad Eshteiwi, the coordinator of popular resistance in Kafr Qaddum village, Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinian protesters who were opposing the measures against their village with rubber bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs.

The village's popular resistance will continue until its full objectives are met as part of the national aspiration to end the occupation of Palestinian territories and establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to Eshteiwi. The Israeli authorities have yet to comment on the incidents.
