During a recent spate of severe rains in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, at least seven people were killed and 16 others were injured in different rain-related accidents, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

Women and children were among those killed in rain-related land slides and roof collapses around the province since Friday, according to a report released on Sunday by the PDMA.

According to the report, at least 19 houses and structures were partially or completely destroyed as a result of the downpours, and rescue and relief activities are underway in the affected districts under the supervision of local administration.
Authorities also restored many routes in the province that had been closed due to landslides.
