No need to worry about refunds as well. You will also get the ticket money very easily.

Actually, the facility of cancellation of tickets from the phone is available to those who book at the reservation counter. For such passengers only, the facility of cancellation of tickets has been given through call. Often people face this problem when the train time is at night and the ticket reservation counter is closed. Passengers on the late night train do not have enough time to go to the counter and cancel the ticket. For this problem, railways started the facility of call cancellation. To avail this facility, passengers will have to call the inquiry number 139 of the railway. Keep in mind that you should make this call from the registered mobile number only. Meaning the number given at the time of ticket reservation.

According to the media report, after making the call, you have to tell your reserve ticket's PNR number. After this, Indian Railways will confirm your registered number. One time password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile to proceed the cancellation process. You will have to give this information on the phone itself. After this, the railway will cancel your ticket.
