BB and CC creams are lightweight products that offer skin benefits as well as give your skin an even-toned look. CC creams, in particular, are a blessing in summers when you can’t wear a full face of makeup yet need a dewy and flawless look. Even if you want to play up your eyes, you can keep the base simple by applying a small amount of CC cream.
If you don’t want to see your foundation melt and ruin your summer look, invest in the Lakmé 9to5 Naturale CC Cream. Infused with the goodness of aloe, it evens out blemishes and shields the skin from the harmful effects of pollution and sun. Here’s how you can create a lightweight base using CC cream in summer.
Step #1: Take a small amount
A small amount of CC cream is all you need to create the perfect lightweight base. The base of a CC cream is a moisturiser; applying too much of it will prevent your skin from absorbing it and make it look unnatural. Plus there’s a good chance of it melting away. So, take only a tiny amount on the back of your hand and use that.
Step #2: Use the 5-dot technique
Use the 5-dot technique to apply the CC cream to your face. Using your middle or ring finger, dot the cream on your chin, nose, forehead and cheeks. Make sure you are applying the exact size of dots on each area to get the perfect base.
Step #3: Get blending
Using your fingertips, makeup brush, or sponge, gently blend the product into the skin. Start from the centre of the face and blend it outwards. Apply some on your neck to match it with the rest of your face to create an even-toned base.
Step #4: Check the result
The above technique should give the perfect base. In case you’re using a different CC cream, we suggest checking it in the mirror. If you think you need more coverage, feel free to add a little more or apply a small amount of concealer to hide problem areas.
