Put the old smartphone next to the new one, and in a few minutes, everything will be ready.

Step 1. Save data

You can back up information through iCloud or using iTunes on your computer. Later, the corresponding copy will be used to transfer the data.

How to back up iCloud

  1. Open “Settings” on the iPhone and click on your account icon.
  2. Go to iCloud → “Backup”.
  3. Turn on the eponymous toggle switch and click "Create Backup".

How to backup iTunes

  1. Install the latest version of iTunes and connect your iPhone to the computer with a cable.
  2. Allow access to your smartphone.
  3. Select iPhone in the iTunes device menu.
  4. If you want to save the data of the Health and Activity programs, tick the “Encrypt backup” option and set a password. Do not forget the code, otherwise, it will be impossible to recover the information!
  5. Click "Create a copy now" and wait for the process to finish.

Step 2. Unbind the Apple Watch

If the clock is connected to the iPhone, then to bind to the new smartphone, you first need to break the pair with the old one.

  1. Open the Apple Watch program.
  2. Go to the “My Watch” tab and click on the ℹ️ icon.
  3. Select “Break a pair with Apple Watch” and confirm the action.

Step 3: Transfer the information

There are three ways to import data. Each one needs a previously created backup, but the transfer process will be slightly different. In one case, you must have an old iPhone, in the other - a computer with iTunes, and in the third, an internet connection is sufficient.

1. Using the Quick Start feature

  1. If the new iPhone is already activated, first delete all data by going to “Settings” → “Basic” → “Reset” → “Erase content and settings”. If not, insert the SIM card into your smartphone and follow the prompts of the setup wizard.
  2. Turn on and put both iPhones nearby. The “Quick Start” screen will appear on the new device, and “New iPhone Setup” will appear on the old device.
  3. Click "Continue" on the old smartphone and unlock it.
  4. Wait for the animation to appear on the new iPhone and point the old camera at it.
  5. Wait a few seconds and complete the setup on the new device.
  6. Enter your Apple ID password and follow the prompts.
  7. On the “Programs and Data” screen, select “Restore from iCloud ”.

2. Recover from iCloud copy
