New Delhi: The second wave of the global epidemic Corona virus has re-infected only 5 percent of the country's total population who were infected and recovered in the first wave of the virus. This was disclosed by Dr. N.K. Arora, Head, Covid-19 Working Group under the National Technical Advisory Group (NTAGI) on vaccination in a recent interview to a channel.

Experts say that globally, the total population infected with corona virus again is about one percent. However, he also says that in many cities like Delhi and Mumbai, the spread of infection during the second wave of corona among people has been so high that it is unlikely to reinfect in the third wave.

Noted epidemiologist Dr. Jayprakash Mulial explained that "The virus strain found in the country has infected so many people that the third wave is impossible due to the way people have developed immune, there is no possibility of a third wave of corona unless a major change occurs in the virus or a new strain of the corona virus is exposed".
