Get to the desktop with Gmail: Sign in to Gmail after opening the browser on your computer.Top click on the profile icon that appears in the right corner. Select a lost or stolen phone in your Devices section.

Gmail app : You can also track lost devices from the Gmail app on another phone. Sign in with your Google account in the app. Tap manage your google account option here. Now tap find a lost or stolen phone after going to security.

Look at your device on the map: Both of the above ways will help you track the device and the map will appear on your screen. If you see a green mark here, it will be your device's current location. However, if you see this marquee gray color, it means that your device's last location was recorded in that location.

Option to delete or lock data: If you're not around the device and can't search for it, the device can be locked from google find my phone itself and you can also delete the data if you want. Follow these steps after locating your device, click on 'Enable lock & erase'. Now you can lock the device with a PIN, pattern or password. You can also display a message or your number on the lock screen. All data from the device's internal storage will be deleted.

Ring : Once you have found the location, you can play the ring of your smartphone if you wish. The good thing is that your SIM may not be in the phone or you call that number. To do this, click on the 'Play Sound' option that appears on the existing Google page. The device will then ring in full volume even if it is silent or vibration and the sound will continue to ring for the next five minutes. In such cases, the phone can be searched when it is nearby.
