In the Executive Council (EC) meeting of Himachal Pradesh University Shimla, it has been decided to promote the students of the first and second semester in the undergraduate classes to the next class. These include about 90 thousand students of BA, BCom, BSC, BBA, BCA. This decision is made, according to the recommendations of the Academic Council. For those students who have a compartment in the first semester or year, arrangements will also be made by the administration. Students who were not able to appear for the sixth semester examinations at the university have also been given the opportunity to take the exam.

The meeting has cancelled the proposed transfer policy for non-teacher employees of HPU. It has been decided to increase the Dr. Kake Jain Memorial Scholarship from 10 to 25 thousand. It was decided to extend the work with the resolution body for one more year. The meeting approved the recruitment and promotion rules made for the posts sanctioned by the Finance Committee. These include the posts of teachers of the model school of the university. EC member Bipan Kumar has been named a member of the Finance Committee.

Approval has been given to provide 10% reservation for economically weaker students in HPU at PG level for admission to online counseling of MBBS and BDS. The issue of migration of students doing PhD in Central University to Hindi Department has been approved. In the meeting, the education department has approved the termination of the service of Assistant Professor Viveknath Tripathi.
