A young man suffering from cold and cough died during treatment at Civil Hospital, Roorkee, Uttarakhand. The hospital administration advised for the funeral of the young man in the electronic crematorium, then the family brought the dead body to Haridwar. Volunteers of Khadkhari and Kankhal crematorium refused to conduct the last rites. And even after police intervention, they didn't agreed.

After wandering from one ghat to another ghat throughout the day, the family returned to Roorkee with the body. According to the information, a young man resident of Roorkee was admitted to Civil Hospital Roorkee on Monday evening after complaining of fever and cough etc. He died at around 10 pm during the treatment. According to the family, the hospital administration refused to give the body and sent the body to Haridwar, fearing death from Corona, asking for a funeral at the electric crematorium.

Two employees along with the young man's father reached the Kankhal crematorium with the dead body and they took information about the electric crematorium, but the watchman sent him to the Khadki crematorium When they reached Khadkhari, the volunteers and ritualists there were scared, refused to perform the last rites.
