Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt invited to join academy of 'Motion Picture Arts and Sciences'

Actors Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt, known for their amazing dance moves in Bollywood, have been invited to join the Academy of 'Motion Picture Arts and Sciences'. If both these stars accept this invitation, they will get voting rights for this year's Oscar awards.

Documentary filmmakers Nishtha Jain and Amit Madhesia, designer Neeta Lulla, casting director Nandini Srikanth, visual effects supervisor Vishal Anand and Sandeep Kamal have also been invited by the academy among the 819 people.  Filmmaker Milap Zaveri tweeted, "Fabulous! Well deserved! Both @iHrithik and @aliaa08 are super talented superstars. They will be a great addition to the Academy". The 2020 list includes Ana de Armas, Brian Tyree Henry, Florence Pugh, Lakith Stanfield, Beanie Feldstein, Chang Hye-jin, Jo Jung-suk, and Constance Wu. Directors like Lulu Wang, Ari Esther, Terence Davis and Matthew Vaughan are also included in the list.

In the year 2021, the Oscars will be held on 25 April. The day of 28 February 2021, was set for the awards. Academy President David Rabin and CEO Don Hudson said in a statement, "Movies plays an important role in comforting, motivating and entertaining us in a dark period for over a century. This is also happening this year. We hope that by extending the date of the awards, filmmakers will be able to complete and release their films".
