In the semi-final of ongoing Indonesia Open Super Series Badminton Tournament the HS Prannoy got defeated by Japan's Kazumasa Sakai yesterday by 21-17, 26-28, 18-21 in a match that lasted for one hour and sixteen minutes.
To enter the semi-finals he had defeated World and Olympic Champion Chen Long of China and in this match, he won the first game but lost in others as his opponent performed well.
Prannoy is scheduled to take part in the Australian Open next week, where he's drawn to face Sakai in the first round of the qualifiers.
