At present, Ren Zhengfei, founder and CEO of Huawei, a smartphone maker, said recently that its mobile sales have fallen by 40 per cent and the company may miss out on achieving its revenue target this year. Meanwhile, the company has introduced a special formula to deal with declining smartphone sales. The company has come up with a warranty program. Under the warranty program, the company has promised to refund the full price of its smartphone if it stops working with popular apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Gmail, Instagram within 2 years of buying the smartphone.

In a report, Huawei Central has claimed that the company will return the full price of the device if Google and Facebook apps do not run on the smartphone. At the moment, this special warranty program is only for the Philippines. The company's smartphone sales are declining and customers are demanding refunds on Huawei phones that were bought earlier, such a 'special warranty' program could be introduced in other markets as well. The company wants to maintain customer confidence through such warranty programs to maintain its smartphone sales.

For your information, Huawei reached No. 2 in global smartphone sales in the first quarter of 2019. However, now the company is jolted on the sales front. Giants like Samsung and Apple are now storied Huawei's market share. Huawei's CEO said the company hoped the U.S. would "attack" such a high-level with such perseverance. Huawei has been growing steadily for the past decade and has surpassed the $100 billion revenue level for the first time.
