Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), which make products of everyday use, have cut the prices of some of their soap brands. Let us tell you that due to the fall in the rate of raw materials, companies have reduced the prices of some soaps. Yes, soap prices have come down by 15 per cent. According to the information received, due to the reduction in prices, the sale of these products may increase in the second half.

Hindustan Unilever Limited has cut the prices of its popular soap brands Lifebuoy and Lux. It is reported that the prices of these two soaps have been cut by 5 to 11 per cent. Yes, and this reduction has been done in the western region. With this, Godrej Consumer Products, a unit of Godrej Group, has reduced the prices of its soap brand Godrej No.1 by 13 to 15 per cent. In such a situation, experts believe that due to the reduction in prices, there will be an increase in sales in the second half of the current financial year.

Let us tell you that the retail inflation rate in the country is currently above the target set by the Reserve Bank. Inflation was at 7 per cent in August and the figures for September are yet to come. At the same time, a major reason for the reduction in soap prices is the fall in global prices of palm oil and other raw materials.
