Major FMCG companies such as Hindustan Unilever, Godrej Consumer, and Patanjali have announced a reduction in prices of soaps and other sanitation products. Companies have also announced to increase the production of such products. Companies have taken this initiative to help the government and people in combating the Coronavirus infection. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has also announced a commitment of Rs 100 crore for the fight with Corona. HUL has issued a statement in this context saying, "Hindustan Unilever is reducing the prices of Lifebuoy Sanitizer, Lifebuoy Liquid Handwash, and Domax Floor Cleaner by 15% in the public interest. We are going to start the production of these products with reduced prices with immediate effect. These products will be available in the market in the next few weeks.

According to HUL, the company will distribute two crore lifebuoy soaps to the needy section of the society in the next few months. Chairman and Managing Director of the company Sanjeev Mehta said on this occasion, "Companies have to play a big role in this hour of crisis. The company is working closely with governments and its partners so that everyone can overcome this global crisis together."

Yoga guru Ramdev's company Patanjali Ayurved has also announced a 12.5% reduction in the prices of aloe vera and turmeric-sandalwood soaps.
