New Delhi: On March 8, International Women's Day will be celebrated in schools and colleges across the country on the initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Special meetings will be organized in schools to motivate the girl students. In these meetings, discussion on women who have achieved achievements in various fields, role play, day's deliberations and collective singing on women's empowerment will also be organized.

While giving the information, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said that the Ministry of Human Resource Development has decided to start various activities with the aim of motivating the students to excel in their lives, so that the students can prove that So that gender discrimination is not a hindrance in achieving excellence. In this direction, the University Grants Commission Round Table Dialogue will be organized and many other programs of women empowerment on various subjects will be organized in about 40 central universities across the country, among many other activities.

Nishank has stated that the total enrollment ratio of girls at all levels of education is now higher than boys. At the primary level, the enrollment ratio of girls is 94 percent against 89 percent of boys. On the other hand, if we talk at the secondary level, enrollment of girls is 81 percent as compared to 78 percent of boys.
