In Lahore, authorities have arrested a man on charges of smuggling people out of Pakistan. The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle apprehended the suspect, identified as Azhar, on Sunday.

During the arrest, officials seized seven Pakistani passports, six Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), and various counterfeit stamps. Legal proceedings are now underway against Azhar, according to reports.

This arrest follows another recent crackdown on human trafficking. Earlier this month, the FIA detained Maqsood in Mirpur Khas for allegedly deceiving a citizen with a promise of a work visa for Portugal, for which he charged Rs 1,000,000. Investigations are ongoing to uncover more details and identify other individuals involved.

Additionally, on June 15, the FIA's immigration cell arrested two more suspected human traffickers at Peshawar Airport. Muhammad Nabi and Aminullah were intercepted while trying to flee the country. Muhammad Nabi, a key figure in human trafficking and visa fraud, was found with several counterfeit visa stickers on his mobile phone as he attempted to board a flight to Oman. He is implicated in multiple cases within the FIA Composite Circle Mardan. Aminullah was caught using a fake Italian resident card, which he had obtained from an organized criminal network specializing in document forgery. He has been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Peshawar for further investigation and legal action.
