Two youths of Punjab have died due to hunger and thirst in the Mexican jungle. One of the deceased was from Begowal and the young man was Nawanshahr. The youth was being taken to the United States through human trafficking. Sukhwinder Singh resident ward no. 2 Kapil Colony Begowal told that he had fixed a deal for Rs 24 lakh from an agent of Hoshiarpur to send his 18-year-old son Devinder Inderpal Singh to the US. On June 13, his son came out of the house for America. The agent assured him that his son would be sent directly to the United States, but his son was being illegally admitted to the US by making a slave via Greece, Italy, Spain and Mexico.
The last time on July 6, Davindar talked to him. He told that he would reach America in just two and a half hours. There has been no contact with Davinder since then. Sukhwinder Singh told that on Monday late evening he received a call that his son died of hunger thirst in Mexico's forest.
Sukhwinder's brother Davinder Singh, who lives in Indiana in the US, said that except for Devinder Inderpal Singh, a girl and seven youths were found unconscious in the jungle of Mexico. Everyone was admitted to the hospital by the Patroling Party of Mexico. Sukhwinder said that after sitting on a bus from Mexico, these nine people were taken to the US border but they were not given anything to eat. They only had two bottles of water. The agents left him in the deserted place in a deserted place.
Everyone went ahead but forgot the path in the woods. Devinder Pal and Gaurav died due to hunger thirsty and the rest became unconscious. The girl told that after she gained consciousness in the hospital, but so far nothing has been known about the girl.
Sukhwinder Singh said that he is going to take a letter from Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna and meet with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in Delhi to bring the body of the son to bring to India. After coming from there legal action will be taken.
DSP Bholath Dwinder Singh said that the family has not given any complaints and statements to him so far. Police will start the action only after receiving the complaint. He said that this matter is completely linked to human trafficking because the young man was being illegally taken to America.
