Humanoid waiter serves food at this Shivamogga restaurant in Karnataka

Shivamogga: Nowadays, tecnology has solved our many problems and helped in doing our efficiently. Humanoid is one of the gift of science which can be proved helpful for us. Now, a restaurant in Karnataka got its first robot employed as a waiter in a restaurant in Shivamogga.

According to the report, Upahara Darshini is the third restaurant in India to get a humanoid to do the job of a waiter. The robot, which was introduced only a week ago, welcomes the customers in both Kannada and English. Suhan Raghavendra, the restaurant's owner said that the robot has not been named yet.

Raghavendra told the New Indian express, "We introduced the humanoid as a waiter, especially for children. It greets our guests and serves them food. If someone approaches, it recognises the movement and stops. The humanoid is made in China and is fully automatic. It is manufactured solely to serve in restaurants.”

The robot was bought from a private company in Vijayawada for Rs 5.5 lakh. Curious and excited customers have been flooding the restaurant to see the humanoid.

In Hyderabad, a restaurant employed four robots to serve food to the customers. Robo Kitchen has named the humanoids as 'Beauty Serving Robot'. The robots need to be charged for three hours to last a day.
