Television Actress Shivya Pathania, who made her debut with the show daily soap Humsafars, says that she took time out to get better on her acting abilities before taking on the new show Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka. She said “Everyone thought that I was not doing anything, but I was working on my flaws. I learnt dancing, took voice modulation classes. I think you need to be consistent and hard working in this industry”.

Shivya told media while while talking about her role on her new show, “I am excited about this role because it is different. I wanted to play something which was in no way similar to my role in Hamsafars and I am happy I got this opportunity. I will always make sure to take up roles which are different”.

Though there are many actors moving into the reality space, Shivya says that she wants to stay away from these shows for the time being. “I want to prove myself as an actor first, which I can do through fiction shows. This is why I don’t want to take up reality shows,” she says. Shivya feels that since she is new in the industry, she wants to stick to one show at a time. “As of now I want to do only one show at a time. I want to give my all to this show at the moment and focus my energy here,” she says.
