Hundreds of people gathered outside Raj Thackeray's residence to join MNS

Mumbai: A large number of people gathered outside the residence of party chief Raj Thackeray in Dadar area of central Mumbai to join the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Friday. The rules of social distancing were allegedly violated. A party official said that these people have officially become members of the MNS.

Giving further information, he has told that, "These people are residents of Worli area and have joined MNS today. The area outside the MNS chief's house had been crowded for some time but we had asked people to follow social distancing". In view of increasing cases of corona epidemic, Mumbai Police has extended the prohibitory order till September 30, which prohibits movement and gathering of people.

24 thousand 619 new cases have been reported in Maharashtra on Thursday. So far, 11 lakh 45 thousand 840 people in the state have been hit by coronavirus. With this, more than 31 thousand people have died due to corona. In the last 24 hours, 398 people have died from Corona in Maharashtra. As many as 15 new corona infections have been confirmed on Thursday in Asia's slum Dharavi.
