Fatehpur: In the Fatehpur district of the country's largest state UP, a man reached his in-laws' house and attacked his wife in the neck and killed her. After executing the incident, the culprit left the spot. The seriously injured woman was rushed to the district hospital with the help of neighbours. But doctors at the hospital declared her brought dead. The police have registered a case and launched a search for the culprit.
A man named Ranjit had gone to his in-laws' house late at night in the town of Lalauli police station area. Here he had a quarrel with his wife Pooja Devi over something. The words between the two escalated so much that Ranjit brought a knife from inside the house and attacked his wife's throat. She got injured and screamed. On getting the opportunity, the guilty husband fled. Hearing the sound of the blood-soaked pooja, her mother and sister shouted to the neighbours and immediately the police were alerted.
As soon as the same information was received, the police also reached the spot and the injured woman was rushed to the district hospital. But by then she was dead. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem and started investigating the case and recorded the statements of the family members of the deceased woman. It is being said that there was a dispute between the husband and wife for a long time.
