Indore: A newly-wed woman from Indore city of Madhya Pradesh has filed a case of dowry harassment against her impotent husband and family members. The victim has alleged that the husband has serious ailments, hiding illnesses and married to her. Even on his honeymoon, he did not have a physical relationship with me. When I objected, I said that I cannot practice the husband's religion. Just before the wedding, my family was forcibly charged Rs 5 lakh.

SHO Jyoti Sharma said that the newly-wed, a resident of Nehru Nagar area, has lodged a case of dowry harassment against her husband Bhupendra Bavaskar, mother-in-law Shilpa, sister-in-law Meghna and Nandoi Nikhil, a resident of Mumbai. The family members made arrangements for the wedding and gave them money and gold. After which the marriage took place.

The victim has informed that after the marriage, she reached her in-laws' house in Mumbai. He was there for about a week. Husband Bhupendra did not have a relationship with me. Later on the honeymoon, the husband stayed away from me. When I objected to this, the husband told me that he had many diseases. I protested and I went back to my in-laws' House in Mumbai.
