The husband was addicted to alcohol and used to beat his wife every day. Tired of this, the wife came to her maternal home in Nawakheda. She was living with her mother for a year. Victim Krishna had gone to the market on Friday to buy some items along with her friend and neighbor Sangeeta, wife Kalu and Sharda. Meanwhile, her husband Keshu and his friend Mohanlal Katara and others reached there on a bike.

Keshu started beating his wife in the market. After this, he forcibly took him in a jeep and took him with him. The victim was also assaulted on the way. Taking him home, the young man tied his wife to a tree and all the family members beat her mercilessly.
