In this case, a son-in-law, angry at his wife's failure to bid farewell, injured his wife and then committed suicide by stabbing himself. According to reports, police sources have informed the court today that Kajal (24) of Bilari village was married to 35-year-old Batali from Khejuri village a year ago.

For three or four months, Kajal was in his mother's house. Speaking further, he said, "Batali's wife went to the in-laws on Friday evening and started talking about Kajal's farewell. On this, Batali's father-in-law said he would bid farewell after three or four days. Batali was adamant about his farewell in the evening and there was a dispute between the two.

He went on to say, "On protesting by the in-laws, he first stabbed and wounded his wife and then stabbed herself in the chest. Both were rushed to hospital in critical condition where the doctor declared Batali dead.
