12-year-old Charan died in hospital after his father set him ablaze

Hyderabad: 12-year-old R. Charan succumbed to his injuries in hospital after being burnt alive by his father. His father had burned him alive in the intoxication of alcohol. The father was reportedly not happy with his studies and there was a debate between the two over bringing Beedi just before the incident. He was admitted to the government Gandhi hospital last Sunday. According to physicians, he had 93% burn. He died on Wednesday night. The police had earlier arrested the accused father on his daughter's complaint. The police is now taking further action in this case.

It is noteworthy that this shocking case came to light in Hyderabad. A man had burnt a 12-year-old son alive. When the son was yearning for fire, the father burned the beedi with the same match. He was intoxicated and carried out the incident. According to police, R. Baalu of the local KPHB colony has carried out the tragic incident. He works as a daily wage. He had drunk at 9.30 pm on Sunday evening and asked his son to bring a bundle of beedi. The boy refused then the father first beat him. 

In the midst of banging, the wife also tried to save the child, but he pushed it apart. In the meantime, he had turpentine oil in his hand and the whole bottle he poured on his son. Then he torched the son by burning a match, and then he set fire on him. In 2019, the father had forced the child to work at a bicycle repairing shop, police said. The police team had freed him under Operation Smile. At that time, Baalu and his wife were also counselling.
