Hyderabad LS seat: Feroz Khan to contest against Asaduddin Owaisi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief A Revanth Reddy are among the Lok Sabha early birds who have commenced their campaign ahead of others in Telangana. Owaisi, who is looking re-election for a fourth successive term from Hyderabad, filed his nomination documents on Monday, the first day of nominations. On Monday, He directed a door-to-door campaign at Nawab Saheb Kunta. " What can any politician/candidate say for this unconditional affection, love from people who I have never met -I have to work more hard to live up to the expectations of common people but I have certainly blessed Alhamdullilah" he tweeted.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has fielded Firoz Khan from Hyderabad to take on MIM Chief Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi. Khan had unsuccessfully contested in the Assembly polls in December. Earlier, there were reports that Congress party is probably going to field Chairman of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Minorities Dept., Mr. Abdullah Sohail against Mr. Owaisi. Known as a firebrand leader, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Revanth Reddy commenced his campaign on Sunday after visiting a temple. He is contesting from Malkajgiri here.

In recent days, Reddy, who lost the Assembly polls in December from his traditional seat Kodangal, met key party leaders in Malkajgiri, seeking their cooperation. Reddy also reached out CPI state secretary Chada Venkata Reddy at the here and also TJS president M Kodandaram to enlist their help. The CPI leader responded emphatically to Reddy's request, while Kodandaram said he would counsel the party's local leaders.
