HYDERABAD: Two African Nationals were arrested on Sunday night and Cocaine worth Rs 1.5 lakh was recovered from their possession. The Two Africans are the citizens of the Republic of Cote d' Ivoire. Police had received a specific tip-off on this movement and acting on specific information, police kept a watch on the movements of Dohoun Arnold Patrick (31), and Yaye Abdoulaye (34) near Nanal Nagar X roads on Sunday morning when they were waiting to meet prospective customers and arrested them.

Excise sleuths also seized three cell phones from their possession. The accused were selling one gram of cocaine for Rs 6,000. A week ago, excise sleuths arrested another gang member of the accused, Suleman Ibraheem Hasan at Lakdikapul in possesion of six grams of cocaine. During the interrogation, the accused confessed that they procured the contraband from a Bangalore-based Nigerian peddler. “The accused have been illegally staying in India. They were handed over to Golconda excise police for further probe,” Anji Reddy said. Arnold Patrick, who has been staying in Bangalore, has come to Hyderabad by bus on Sunday early hours to sell Cocaine to customers as per the instructions of his handler.
