Now more focus is being given on safety features for vehicles. In this episode, Hyundai Motor Group has developed a new center side airbag. This new airbag technology will be seen in Hyundai's new cars. The new airbag will be between the driver and the front passenger. This will help prevent the driver and front passenger from colliding with each other in the event of an accident and head injury. If the car does not have a front passenger, it will give the driver extra protection from the impact on the right side of the vehicle during the accident.

In his statement, Hyundai says that this new airbag will reduce the head injury by 80% during the collision with each other. Statistics from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association show that the secondary damage rate is 45% if the driver and front passenger collide with each other or are hurt by the interior panel of the vehicle.

According to the information received, Hyundai has applied for a patent for the technology used to make this new airbag. The design of the new airbag is simple and compact, due to which it is 500 grams lighter than other similar products. In order to support the passenger's weight in case of an accident, an internal component named Tether has been given in this new airbag. Hyundai hopes that the center side airbags will increase the level of safety on its vehicles. A research engineer from Hyundai Motor Group's Crash Safety Systems Engineering design team said, "The development of the center side airbags goes far beyond adding an additional airbag. We will continue efforts to improve the safety of passengers in all types of accidents.
