New Delhi: Hyundai has launched a new Sportz executive variant of the Grand i10 NIOS in India with prices starting from Rs. 7.16 lakh (ex-showroom).

In the current lineup, the new model sits between the Magna and Sportz trim levels. The new model is available with both manual and automatic transmission. Let's take a look at its highlights.

Since its launch in 2019, the Grand i10 NIOS has been one of Hyundai's best selling models in India. The entry-level hatchback model received its first major update in January this year.

To reach out to more budget-conscious customers, the carmaker has added a new Sportz Executive variant to its lineup with a manual AC unit.

The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Sportz executive variant retains some of the design elements from the Sportz model. A sculpted hood, a honeycomb-mesh grille, sweptback projector headlights, bumper-mounted LED DRLs, ORVMs, designer alloy wheels, and wrap-around LED taillamps with a connecting reflector strip are all standard. The hatchback gets a roof mounted spoiler and a shark-fin antenna.

With the exception of a few features, the Sportz executive variant of the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS is identical to the Sportz model. It features a spacious five-seater interior with dual-tone dashboard, fabric upholstery, manual air-conditioning, power windows, multifunctional steering wheel, semi-digital instrument cluster and 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console with Android Auto and Apple Music. Carplay. Four airbags ensure the safety of the passengers.

Unlike other entry-level models in the market, Hyundai has packed the Grand i10 NIOS with a host of safety features. Electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist control (HAC), seatbelt pretensioners with load limiters, ABS, EBD, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), speed and impact-sensing door locks, and an engine immobilizer are standard on the Sportz executive model. The model also includes a rear-view camera with guidelines.

The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Sportz executive variant comes with a 1.2-litre, 'Kappa' inline-four engine that produces 82hp / 113.8Nm. A 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox handles the transmission duties on the hatchback.
