Its first electric car Kona is going to be launched in the Hyundai Indian market. The company will launch it on July 9, 2019, but we've already got information about the mileage of the Kona electric car before launch. Hyundai India has revealed that its Kona Electric is capable of travelling 452 km on a single charge and the mileage is certified by ARAI.

The company has offered a 64.0 kWh battery in its first variant. The other variant will have a 39.2 kWh battery, and both the batteries will be charged in just 54 minutes with fast charging. A smartphone also takes longer to charge.

For your information, the first variant motor will generate 150kW of power and 395Nm of torque and is capable of travelling up to 450 km on a single charge. The motor in the other variant produces 100 KW of power and 395Nm of torque and is capable of travelling up to 290 km on a single charge.

The company will also provide 220 V Portable Charging Cable to charge it. Hyundai has already confirmed that the company will manufacture its Kona Electric locally at Chennai plant in India. With Kona being built locally, the company can keep its price quite aggressive. Hyundai will be the first electric car to be priced between Rs 20 and Rs 25 lakh.
