Vehicle manufacturer Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has exported more than 5000 vehicles for May 2020 and with this export, the company is strengthening its commitment to support the Government's vision of Make in India. To support the vision of self-reliant India and the state and central government's objective of promoting economic revival, Hyundai commenced production at its plant on 8 May, producing more than 5000 vehicles for the export market.

In his statement, while talking on the export strategy of Hyundai, the MD and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, S.K. s. Kim said, "We started our export campaign in India with the aim of promoting Make in India - Made for the World" in 1999. As per our global strategy we have now exported over 3 million vehicles to 88 countries. Who reaffirm our commitment to the country. "

Kim added that, "We have made a humble beginning to normalcy by exporting more than 5,000 units once again in May 2020. It acknowledges Hyundai's efforts towards localization and economic recovery." Also, since inception in the last 20 years, Hyundai has strengthened its position as a major exporter of passenger cars exporting over 3 million vehicles. In the calendar year 2019, Hyundai Motor India has exported 181200 units with 792 customized variants as per the country's specific choice and demand. Hyundai has made a significant contribution to the Indian automobile industry with a market share of 26% in the calendar year 2019 in total exports of passenger cars in India.
