Hyundai Motors India started selling its cars in India in 1998, and in 2007, the company touched the figure of selling 10 lakh units of its Iconic car, Hyundai Centro.

Now the company has completed the figure of selling more than 50 lakh units of a car in just a few more years. On this achievement, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motors India said on this achievement: - There is an achievement of the company's attention in India where we have given so much love to the people of this country. Today, we are very pleased to send 50,00,000th car production to the market. Let us know that earlier, the company had touched the figure of 10,00,000 cars in 8 years. Since then, the company has achieved many such achievements in India and sold 2 million cars by 2010.

The company touched the figure of 30,00,000 cars in the next 3 years, in 2013, 40,00,000 in 2015 and now in 2017, Hyundai has sold 50,00,000 cars. The company has sold more than 10 lakh cars in India in just two years, including cars such as the Hyundai Grand I10, I20, Verna and Creta SUV. Now the company is planning to launch several more new cars in the load and it is being speculated that by 2020, 8 new models in the country will be launched. With this in addition to expanding its sales in India, Hyundai is going to open its outlets in more than 2200 sales and service points with 422 rural areas.
