Kia Sonet has been seen in South Korea during the subcompact SUV testing, which is giving a tough competition to the world's popular vehicle manufacturer Hyundai Venue. In the pictures seen, the sporty alloy wheels are seen in this vehicle, due to which it is being considered as the top-spec variant and in this photo it is clearly seen that the company will not even offer disc brakes on the rear wheels. There is no vehicle in this segment except the Mahindra XUV300 which is giving disc brakes on all four wheels in its compact SUV.

Talking about power and specifications, then the same engine with Hyundai Venue will be given in Kia Sonet. The company will give 1.2 liter petrol, 1.5 liter diesel and a 1.0 liter GDi turbo petrol engine. Talking about transmission options, it will be given a 6-speed manual and a DCT automatic option that will supply power on the front wheels.

Kia Sonet was introduced by the company during the 2020 Auto Expo and it was the concept avatar near the production. The company had announced that it would launch its SUV by the end of this year. The Sonet looks like a baby Seltos and offers a lot of styling like wheel arch cladding, red accent with side cladding and sporty dual-tone alloy wheels with Seltos. However, we do not think that the Sonet seen during testing in the picture is similar to the concept model. Still, we know that the Sonet features Kia's signature tiger-nose grille, sleek LED headlights with LED daytime running lamps and sharp character lines with a perfectly good body shape.
