Due to their high price, electric cars are being preferred in India. The ex-showroom price of the Hyundai Kona in India is priced at Rs 25.30 lakh. Currently, electric cars are subject to a 12 per cent GST, which has been proposed to be reduced to 5 per cent in the recently introduced Union Budget. And if that happens, the price may be reduced by Rs 1.5 lakh. The Hyundai Kona can cover a distance of 452 km in single charging. Parts of the car will be imported and assembled in India, after which the price of the car is higher. The car is expected to be manufactured in India after the Indian government has relaxed its electric car making. If this happens, the price of this car may be much lower.
