Dholpur: A minor girl living in the Dholpur district of Rajasthan has appealed to a minister of the state for help. In a letter to the minister, the minor said, "Save me, I am being sold for Rs 8 lakh. If you don't save me, you will have to bear the sin of killing a daughter. I will not marry that boy and will commit suicide.''
 
In fact, the case is of a village in the Sampau sub-section of the Dholpur district of Rajasthan. Here, a 15-year-old girl has written a letter to Rajasthan Women and Child Development Minister Mamta Bhupesh. In it, she has appealed to the minister to cancel the marriage. Not only that, the minor has said that if her marriage does not cancel, she will hang herself. The letter, written to Minister Mamata Bhupesh, has also been sent by email to the office of the Department of Women and Child Development, Dholpur. Thereafter, there was an uproar among the departmental officers. Deputy Director, Department of Women and Child Development Bhupesh Garg took the entire matter seriously and informed District Collector Rakesh Kumar Jaiswal. The CDPO of the Sampau sub-section has been ordered to investigate and stop the marriage. Police officers have also been asked to take action.

In a letter to Women and Child Development Minister Mamta Bhupesh, it has been stated that Minister, I am a 15-year-old minor daughter, my father is marrying me to a boy who drinks alcohol and gambles. I will be married on 14th November 2021 by taking me to some other place. For this, my father has taken 8 lakh rupees from the boy, which means I am being sold. I also complained about this to the local police station. But the police officer met my father only. The minor girl pleaded with the minister and said that you are like my mother. Save me from this crisis. I request you with folded hands. If you don't do that, you will have to take the sin of killing a daughter, because I will not marry him, I would hang myself. After this letter, there is a stir in the department and the officers have moved into action.
