Randeep Hooda has started shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's film 'The Battle of Saragarhi'.

The film is said to be based on the Battle of Saragarhi and there are about three movies being made on the same subject. Salman Khan and Karan Johar too with starring Akshay Kumar is making the film on the same subject.

When asked Randeep about it, he said, "I am making my movie, not sure what Ajay, Salman, Karan, Akshay are doing. I'm most interested in doing my part. It's a great subject and a wonderful story of bravery, of valor, sacrifice and standing up for what you believe in. Even if there will be 21 stories made on this subject, it would be less."

In the film, the actor will be seen in the role of Havildar Ishar Singh who was the military commander of the 36th Sikhs in The Battle of Saragarhi.
