When Neha Pendse got married to Shardul Bayas she got brutally trolled as Shardul is twice divorced and has one kid from each marriage. The trolls have been targeting her husband and mocking her marriage for past sometime.  Neha on the criticism once revealed that, “No it hasn’t. I think the trolling can never stop. They find one or the other reason to troll you. But my husband and I have learned to ignore them. Initially, the trolling used to affect my husband as he is not used to all these things. But now, it doesn’t affect us anymore.”

She further said, “I was mentally prepared that people will draw comparisons; it’s such a popular show and people are attached to the characters. But the comparisons has and will never affect my performance. It’s been more than a month that I have been shooting for the show and I think people have now realised what I can bring on the table. Initially, I agree that the audience was bit reluctant in terms of accepting me as the new Anita Bhabhi but now when we look at the TRPs going up, I think things are changing and slowly people are accepting me”

Neha also revealed that, “It’s not that I am a virgin either. I appreciate the fact that he took chances with women he was in love with, unlike in my case where the men disappeared just when the relationship could have culminated into marriage. At least, Shardul is not commitment-phobic.”

On the work front, Neha Pendse started her career as a child actor and made her debut with the film Pyaar Koi Khel Nahin in 1999. She later on was seen in films like Devdas. Pendse made her television debut with the show Captain House which was by Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms. She later did a lot of Marathi films. In 2016, May I Come In Madam?. She was a celebrity contestant in the twelfth season of the Indian version of the reality TV show Big Brother, Bigg Boss. She was evicted after 4 weeks on 14 October (Day 28).
