Nellore: Addressing the media here on Saturday, Budigi Srinivasulu Reddy, a senior officer of the Indian Foreign Service, said that "I am a blind person and have been selected for IFS and have worked as a diplomat in many countries. No one attacked me.But my house in my native district has been attacked which is a failure of the state government.

In the middle of the night a team led by Mamidi Krishna Reddy and four others came to my house and demolished a part of the building using lethal weapons and a poklen. They threatened the family members with lethal weapons and created a ruckus. Srinivasulu said the police have registered cases under bailable sections. He demanded a probe by the central government into the incident. I demand the Center to take action on such attack on the residence of a diplomat as the state government has failed to play its role promptly.

Nellore Rural Deputy Superintendent of Police Y Harinath Reddy said that a case under sections 447 and 427 of IPC has been registered against accused Mameidi Krishna Reddy for demolishing the compound wall. He said that he has not sent the accused Krishna Reddy on remand as the offenses punishable with imprisonment of less than 7 years. “We took him into custody on September 10 and served notice under section 41A, according to which the accused should appear before the police or the court whenever called upon,” he said.
