Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has recently said that he does not need to consult a palmist or astrologer as he has enough strength in his wrist to change his future. In fact, the opposition had mocked Shinde for meeting an astrologer during his recent visit to Shirdi and Nashik. In such a situation, it is believed that Shinde's statement has come in response to this. However, CM Shinde told reporters in Karad in Satara district, "I don't need to show my palm to any astrologer. Should have strength in your wrist to change the lines of the palms and we have got that strength from Balasaheb Thackeray and Anand Dighe.'' At the same time, he said the entire country has seen that strength on June 30 (the day Shinde became Maharashtra's chief minister).
Earlier on Friday, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) had taunted Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for allegedly meeting an astrologer. In fact, the NCP said that superstition will not help them because their future is in the hands of their Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. You all know that Shinde's rebellion in June had thrown the Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government out of power.
Shinde was later sworn in as chief minister with the support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has far more MLAs than the Thackrey faction. Let us tell you that NCP national spokesperson Clyde Crasto said, 'According to reports, Shinde had gone to meet an astrologer to know about his future, but the fact is that his future lies in the hands of Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis.'
